The industrial design team at LUNAR envisioned a novel motion sequence for revealing and concealing the USB connector. We generated concepts and built working breadboards that gave the client the confidence to invest in detailed CAD. The very first machined prototype worked beautifully and electrified the design team. We were then challenged to integrate an automatic disappearing cover for the USB connector hole, which we were able to incorporate into the mechanism.
