Grilling is social experience. Fuego Living set out to make grills not only for maximum performance, but to promote interaction between the grill master and their guests. The modern, minimalist designs are show-pieces rather than tucked out of the way while stowing lids allow approach from either side. Alloy helped Fuego take these concepts to an outdoor kitchen design where guests can hang out with the chef at the counter. A welded aluminum frame supports the counter and five modules that can be custom configured for grilling, stove-top use, warming and storage. To complete the experience, the side unit integrates a mini-fridge, additional storage and the kitchen sink. Alloy developed a complete layout of the system, produced a mechanically functional sample unit and oversaw the factory’s refinement into production.
